東京芸術大学楽理科卒業、同大学院応用音楽科修了。在学中よりピアニストとして同年代
作曲家の作品初演を行う一方、美学や民族学、マネジメントや文化政策について広く学ぶ。
2004年、第9回JILA音楽コンクール現代音楽特別賞受賞、第6回現代音楽演奏コンクール
「競楽VI」優勝、第14回朝日現代音楽賞受賞。2006年よりPTNAホームページにて、音源付
連載「ピアノ曲 MADE IN JAPAN」を開始。2008年、野村国際文化財団の助成を受けボストン、Asian Cultural Councilの助成を受けニューヨークに滞在、現代音楽を学ぶ。2009年、YouTube Symphony Orchestraカーネギーホール公演にゲスト出演。2012年、日本コロムビアよりCD「おもちゃピアノを弾いてみよう♪」をリリース。
洗足学園高校音楽科、和洋女子大学、東京都市大学非常勤講師を経て、2017年より4年半ロサンゼルスに暮らす。その間、Web音楽批評誌「Mercure des Arts」にて、連載「カリフォルニアの空の下」を執筆。
帰国後、2022年より（独）日本芸術文化振興会にてプログラムオフィサーを務めると共に、
各地でユニークな演奏活動を展開している。
While studying at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Eiko worked as a pianist with many composers and learned broadly about aesthetics, ethnology, and management of music. In 2004, she won the first prize for the sixth contemporary music performance contest “Competition VI”, and won the 14th Asahi Contemporary Music Award. Eiko also studied contemporary music in Boston under the grant from Nomura International Cultural Foundation, and in New York as a scholarship student of Asian Cultural Council in 2008. The following year, she played at Carnegie Hall as a guest performer of the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. Eiko wrote the series “Piano Song MADE IN JAPAN” with sound source on PTNA website from 2006 to 2014 and also released her first CD album “Let’s play the toy piano ♪”(Columbia) in 2012. After staying in Los Angeles from 2017 to 2021, she plays piano and toy piano while serving as a program officer at the Japan Arts Council, based in Tokyo.
